In its 21st year, P. Smith and Company is considered by most to be the PREMIER design firm/studio in the tri-state area.
Founded in 1987 by Patti Smith, the firm started as a retail shop in Ridgewood, NJ focusing on accessories and an occasional upholstered piece. As word spread of the unique pieces in the shop, it became apparent that the clientele had a real need for design services as well.
Ms. Smith recognizing this, focused her attention on understanding the concepts desired by her clients and retained a staff to take her designs and make them a reality.
The firm has been responsible for transforming many of the finer homes in the tri-state area, and in turn has been requested to perform similar miracles around the country and most recently in Zurich, Switzerland.
The studio continues to evolve, keeping up with the ever changing design world. It has come to be one of the only "one stop" shops showcasing elite manufacturers of fine furniture and incorporating them into designs which are always current while keeping true to the personalities and lifestyles of our discerning clients. Our goal is to achieve elegance at every level specializing in sleek, modern styling.
